Ingredients:

Organic Buckwheat Flour

Has a delicious toasted nut flavour which caramelizes well and helps in the formation of a good crust. Even better it has 25% more protein than wheat.

White Rice Flour

Rich in hard-to-find vitamins and minerals with a neutral flavour. Improves the air trapping and stretching abilities of dough.

Brown Rice Flour

A whole grain product complete with fibre and protein. 3x more phosphorus than wheat. Imparts a nice, mild nutty flavour

Aluminum-free Baking Powder

We only use Aluminum-free Baking Powder in all of our mixes. Prevents the tinny taste that regular powder can give off. We say keep the tin in the foil ;)

Tapioca Starch

Chosen for its neutral flavour and to provide that “stretch” to recipes during baking. Best of all it’s fat-free and less processed than wheat.

Guar Gum

An emulsifier that reduces air loss during baking. Chosen because it is less processed than xanthan gum with a neutral flavor and has 40x more potassium than wheat.

Psyllium Husk

Promotes regularity, helps ease constipation, and aids in overall digestive health. Not to mention is has 17x more calcium than wheat.

Salt

The right amount of daily sodium is key for overall health. It’s important not to overdo it though so we put in just enough for optimal flavour.

Ginger

Ginger is loaded with antioxidants and has 5x more fibre than wheat. We love using it to round out the flavours of our baking blends.

Easy gluten-free breakfasts are a snap

Makes 20 Pancakes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

1 cup GF Artisan Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 cup Milk of your choice
3 Eggs (Large) or 1 Large Banana fork mashed to go egg-free
2 tbsp Oil or melted Butter
250 ml GF Artisan Pancake & Waffle Mix
250 ml Milk of your choice
3 eggs (Large) or 1 Large Banana fork mashed to go egg -free
30 ml Oil or melted Butter

OK, LET’S WHIP IT UP

Whisk together all ingredients until smooth, set aside for 3 min to hydrate
Ladle onto a lightly oiled 350° F griddle or frying pan
Cook until you see the pancakes rising (4-5 min) and turn over until they are cooked through (3-4 min). Or just scoop into a preheated, oiled waffle iron and cook until golden brown
Dig in!
